Nobody can escape from his/her own roots,
change his/her own identity, name or whatever. We just cheat ourselves being
busy with other identifications because we are actually judging the
identification we inherited. The freedom comes out of the responsibility and
gratefulness towards this first role that was given to us.
(Goradana)
“-The most important for you it’s your name, your
surname, your country, your age, your brother, your sister, your height, your
shoe size and mainly your parents.
-The Emperor agreed with a ‘no doubt’
-And you are telling me that you did not choose
your parents, your name, your surname, your country, your age, your brother,
your sister, your height, your shoe size, not even the color of your eyes or
hairs.
-That’s obvious, guffawed the Emperor, what else?
- So the most important of your possessions does
not come from your freedom; freedom is such a little part of a human being.
Parents and Government own the biggest part.
- What do you mean? exclaimed the Emperor.
- That talking about freedom it’s reducing the
debate to such a little thing that it’s not worth talking about it.
And the master without name went home.”

stories of Master Kou to his favorite disciple)
